This chapter examines the British Egyptian Expeditionary Forces' (EEF) campaign in Megiddo in pursuit of Turkish forces. It describes General Edmund Allenby's strategy of making his breakthrough along the coast while giving the Turks the impression that his primary blow would fall on their left flank in the Transjordan region. Concentration, surprise, and speed were key elements in the blitzkrieg warfare planned by Allenby. By October 26, 1918, Allenby has captured Aleppo, the city to fall in the campaign, and five days later an armistice with Turkey went into effect.
