This chapter examines the execution of British Egyptian Expeditionary Force (EEF) commander in chief General Sir Edmund Allenby's strategy for capturing Gaza. It discusses the assistance provided by the 179th Brigade of the 60th Division and the challenges faced by the soldiers with the Turks' defenses. It also describes the highlights the so-called Third Battle of Gaza and the success of the surprise attack on Beersheba.
