This chapter examines Hollywood films made after the end of World War 2. It suggests that these films address the anxiety about the type of country post-war America was becoming while some demonstrate the power that Hollywood's war films had to influence the way the war would be understood historically. Examples of these films include Casablanca, A Walk in the Sun, and The Searching Wind.
