(1) . These sources are only representative. Both newspapers carried multiple stories related to these performances.

(2) . There is no evidence in either the local newspapers or the Transylvania yearbook The Crimson that the Transylvania Dramatic Club performed an off-campus play in 1914, although it presented a dramatic program at Morrison Chapel on 4 February.

(3) . Although the Transylvania Dramatic Club apparently intended to perform a play at the opera house in March 1917, this did not happen. Instead, the club performed David Garrick at Morrison Chapel (as it had the previous year) on 6 December 1917. See Lexington Herald, 16 December 1916, 6; 6 December 1917, 8.
