U.S. and UN forces continued to counter the second phase of the Chinese offensive. The 15th Field Artillery provided artillery support to the 2d and 3d Battalions that were stationed on the No Name Line. The Chinese had hid the extent and location of their attack so that U.S. forces were not prepared for their armies to assault the 2d Battalion. The Chinese first hit the 9th Infantry, causing troops to withdraw.
