Holbrooke sends members of the negotiating team to Belgrade to prepare for an important UN meeting. Milosevic engages the US team with the Bosnian Serb leadership on territorial issues. These discussions show how explosive any discussion of territory is to the parties in the talks. Holbrooke then dispatches team members to Sarajevo to calm Bosniak reaction to new developments. The parties meet in New York to agree to a new set of principles for a settlement.
