This chapter discusses the near legendary figure of animation history, Ub Iwerks. He was known early in his career as one of the fastest animators in the industry, and he was soon known for his contributions to the creation of Mickey Mouse. Iwerks also created a viable multiplane camera setup for his company, which became part of a concerted effort at producing an effective reality illusion.
