Artists’ Biographies
The second part of this book is comprised of short biographies of portrait artists working in Kentucky in the years from 1802–1920. The artists included have appeared in previous art historical literature and have an identifiable body of work that can be found in sufficient quantity in public and private collections to support autograph identification.
