This chapter gives brief biographical information on Ann’s third husband, Nicholas Wade. The chapter also discusses Ann’s remaining television work before her retirement in 1952 as well as the couple’s attempts to be documentary producers and music publishers. Also included are details of the Wades’ troubled marriage, in which Ann was subjected to physical abuse, their dwindling finances, Dvorak’s bouts with tuberculosis, and the damaged relationship between Ann and her mother, Anna Lehr.
