This chapter focuses on the production of two Joseph Pasternak comedies: Ask Any Girl (1959) and Please Don’t Eat the Daisies (1960).Walters’ professional relationships with stars Shirley MacLaine and Doris Day are examined, as is his association with writer Isobel Lennart. Walters’ long-term standing as a money-making director is also discussed.
