The T&E Program fulfills President Clinton’s commitment to provide military assistance to the victims of aggression. In so doing, it removes Iranian influence and hundreds of extremist foreign fighters from Bosnia and orients the Sarajevo Government to NATO and Europe. Strained relations continue between Croats and Bosniaks in the Federation, but T&E gives the Federation the means to defend Muslim and Croatian populations in Bosnia if peace breaks down. Ultimately, the program sets the stage for the consolidation of the Bosnian Serb Army into a single national defense structure.
